He served in Rawalpindi medical university and allied hospitals for 17 years. His current position is as associate professor and head of neurosurgical department at Rawal institute of health sciences. He is supervisor of neurosurgery and examiner of masters and fellowship programs of neurosurgery in Pakistan, has several national and international research publications, presented his work in national and international conferences and won many awards of best presenter. He has a lot of work regarding development of cheap spine surgery implants for local population and development of VP shunt in Pakistan. He is doing Masters in health professions education from Rawalpindi medical university and Masters in spine surgery from Mexico.
